Living in Krifteler Straße in Frankfurt's Gallus quarter

The site, in the Gallus quarter, is characterised by the densification programs that have also taken place in Frankfurt along the railway lines. Within the changing urban district, we wanted to create buildings on our plot – which is in transition to previously intact commercial use – which are comprehensible as objects despite the manifold requirements of the heterogeneous mixture of utilization.

The compactly proportioned north site fills a block to the limits; courtyards, accesses and open spaces are cut out of this mass as individual pieces. On the elongated south site, the storeys reach up as staggered towers within the southern head.
