Katharina-Von-Bora-Strasse

The site is located at the interface between Maxvorstadt, with its characteristic block structure and the properties of Nymphenburger Strasse, which are primarily characterised by urban, representative aspects through open building with representative freestanding buildings and park-like green spaces. The design task is to bring the characteristic elements of the two structures into a positive dialog. Within the project, city and park merge excitingly with each other.

In accordance with the urban situation, the cubature of the individual buildings is also determined by the closeness to the surroundings and the neighbours. Projections and recesses as well as height offsets structure and specify the two buildings and create transitions to adjacent buildings. In particular in situations of specific, spatial nearness, the buildings harmonise with the surroundings and mediate in size and scale.

The apartment floor plans are developed in analogy with the urban concept and continue the typically urban, many-sided perspectives inside the apartments. Accordingly, the apartment floor plans react differently everywhere in the building to the particular situation, which gives them their individual character.
