Florian Hartmann was born in Markt Indersdorf near Munich in 1971. He trained and worked as a professional carpenter, then studied architecture at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, worked for Allmann Sattler Wappner Architekten (1999-2002), was architect and project manager at Dominique Perrault Architecture Paris (2002-2007), where he took part in work on the European Court of Justice, Luxembourg, Mariinsky II St. Petersburg, as well as in a development area in Boulogne-Billancourt near Paris.

Since 2007 he has been an office manager and since 2013 a Managing Director at Meili, Peter Architekten München together with Andreas Müsseler and Oliver Noak.


Marcel Meili was born in Küsnacht in 1953 and died in Zurich 2019. He studied architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and worked as academic assistant at the Institute for History and Theory of Architecture. From 1983 to 1987, Marcel Meili worked first with Prof. Dolf Schnebli and then with Prof. Mario Campi until he and Markus Peter founded their architects practice in 1987.

From 1987 to 1999, Marcel Meili lectured at the International Summer Academy in Berlin and the Zürich Academy of Design. He was also a guest lecturer at Harvard University, Cambridge, in the USA and at the ETH Zürich. In 1999, Marcel Meili was promoted to full professor of the ETH Zürich and, together with Professors Jacques Herzog, Pierre de Meuron, Roger Diener and Christian Schmid manages the Studio Basel, the Institute of the City of the Present in Basel.

In 2007, Markus Peter and Marcel opened a second office in Munich.

Marcel Meili and Markus Peter have produced many essays and publications and are both regular jury members of international architecture competitions.

Oliver Noak was born in 1973 in Nordhorn in the county of Bentheim, Niedersachsen. He trained and worked as a professional carpenter in Augsburg and was employed by b2architekten, Kaufbeuren/Augsburg. He then studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart. He then worked for the Institute for Interior Design and Planning in the area of spatial design – IRGFG Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Boris Podrecca, Prof. Arch. D.I. Franziska Ullmann, University of Stuttgart (2001-2004). Freelance architect for the Ebner-Ullmann studio, Vienna (2004-2005) and was Project Manager at Meili, Peter Architekten Zürich (2005-2007).

Andreas Müsseler was born in 1974 in Gräfelfing near Munich. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich, worked as architect for werkraum Architekten Fürstenfeldbruck (2001-2004), where he worked on the Regensburg tax office, was Construction Manager at Sturm, Peter + Peter Munich (2004-2007). During this period, he also participated in various competitions such as Gymnasium Fürstenfeldbruck (2004 for werkraum Architekten, purchasing) and a housing project in Freising (2006 together with Florian Braun, 1st prize).

Lisa Yamaguchi was born in Weinheim an der Bergstrasse in 1976, studied architecture at Karlsruhe University (TH) and TU Berlin, worked at the Institut für Grundlagen der Gestaltung (institute for design basics), Prof. Alban Janson, Karlsruhe University (TH). She practised as an architect for Janson + Wolfrum, architecture and urban planning at Karlsruhe (2004-2006). Since 2007 she has worked as architect and project manager for Meili, Peter Architekten München. Correction assistant for the Chair of Urban Planning and Housing, Prof. Stephen Bates and Prof. Bruno Krucker (2011-2012) and for the Chair of Integrated Design, Prof. Dietrich Fink (2013-2014), TU Munich.
